It's been a month since I've left the states and time is just flying by! I feel so incredibly blessed to be here and I've already learned so much. We're really starting to connect with the people we've been meeting and have been able to spend a lot of time with them. The weather has definitely been one of the biggest challenges of being here. It started snowing a few days after we got here and didn't stop, they said they haven't seen snow like this in twenty years. It's very cold and there is no central heating, people use wood burning stoves to keep warm here. The bakery doesn't have a wood burning stove, just one electric heater, so it gets pretty cold while we're working. The power goes out a lot, sometimes once every couple hours, so that was something that we had to get used to as well. If there's one thing I've learned so far, it is how blessed I am when I'm living in America, and how many things I take for granted. There are sometimes 15 people living in one tiny house, and when the power goes out they all cram into one room to stay warm. It is amazing to see how people who have so little are so generous and giving to the people around them. The snow finally stopped and the sun is coming out making everything look so incredibly beautiful. March is going to be a busy month for us, we will be starting the girls english club, as well as a youth group for all of the kids in the community. We also have a volunteer team coming from Liberty University to come help for ten days. It's definitely exciting all of the things that are happening and we are so happy and blessed to be apart of it!
